In an interview given to the American newspaper Newsweek, he said that peace should be restored on the border between the two countries through negotiations at the diplomatic and military levels. This time, Chinese Defense Force spokesman Senior Colonel Wu Qian opened his mouth.
According to PTI sources, Wu Qian spoke to the media about India-China relations on Thursday. The topic of Modi’s interview also came up there. About which he said, “Currently the situation on India-China border is stable. Both countries maintain effective communication through talks at the diplomatic and military levels. Constructive discussions are also underway. Which is progressing positively.” On resolving the conflict between the two countries, he said, “Both sides have agreed to find a way to resolve the issue as soon as possible.”

It is to be noted that in an interview given to NewsUK, Modi said that he thinks it is very important for India to maintain bilateral relations with China. The Prime Minister said, “I believe, there is a need to take quick action on the border dispute that has been going on for a long time. Only then can the problems with our bilateral relations be removed. Maintaining peace on the India-China border is very important for the entire world.”
On June 15, 2020, the armies of India and China faced each other in the Galwan Valley. Soldiers of both sides fought for several hours with iron rods and barbed wire. 20 Indian soldiers were martyred to prevent Chinese aggression. 1975 saw the first actual loss of life along the Line of Control after service. A virtual war situation ensues. Since then, the conflict between the two countries has intensified. The armies of the two countries held talks 21 times to calm the situation. But never a fruitful solution was found. However, the communist country has recently claimed that the border conflict will not have any impact on India-China relations.
