News Riddle Digital Desk: Hamas is the only obstacle to a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages. US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken thinks so. Eight months have passed. The war between Hamas and Israel is still going on. Hundreds of Israelis are imprisoned by this militant organization in Gaza. Meanwhile, the death toll of innocent Palestinians is increasing by leaps and bounds. In this situation, talks about the release of hostages and an immediate ceasefire are ongoing in Qatar. Where America has also joined.
When will the death march stop in Gaza? When will the Israelis captured by Hamas return home? For the last 8 months, this question has been circulating in the international community. Qatar is mediating between Hamas and Israel to find a way to end the war and restore peace. There are ongoing discussions with countries like Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, America. Israel and Hamas are also sending representatives to the meeting. According to AFP, the US Secretary of State attended such a discussion in Egypt two days ago.

Blinken said at an event on Friday, “The reality is that right now Hamas is standing between the people of Gaza and the ceasefire. It is not so easy to negotiate with them. There are several problems with this. We are waiting for their answer about the ceasefire and the release of hostages. The leaders of Hamas who are communicating with us through Qatar and Egypt must be living outside Gaza.” Right now, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has decided to enter Rafah in southern Gaza and conduct an operation.
It should be noted that the Israeli army is still attacking Gaza after killing Hamas. Ignoring international pressure, Netanyahu is adamant about his decision. The goal is the same. Killing Hamas militants. And for that, Israel has to enter Rafah and start the operation. Now his time has come. Therefore, the Israeli army intensified its attack on Rafah. Five days ago, Tel Aviv “fired” in Rafah. At least 13 people lost their lives in that attack. Now human rights organizations are waiting for Rafa’s future.
