- Many times hot water falls on hands or toenails are not felt. The infection spreads deep into the numb feet. This is called a diabetic foot. The infection spreads to the bone.
- Diabetic foot infection often spreads so far that part of the foot can be amputated. It is called – diabetic foot amputation
- Once a nerve is damaged, it is difficult to fully recover. However, it can be prevented with good treatment
- Autonomic neuropathy. This means a problem with the nerves that supply internal organs in the body. The main reason is diabetes.
- This type of neuropathy can damage the urinary system. There are symptoms such as numbness in urination. Urine infection is seen.
- There is inflammation during urination.
- In women, genital dryness may occur.
- Heart rate changes.
- Standing up from sitting reduces blood pressure.
- People with autonomic neuropathy don’t even realize when their sugar is low.
- Contraction and expansion of the stomach is reduced. Food is not easily digested.
- Proximal neuropathy. It usually causes problems with the nerves and muscles near the neck. There may be severe pain in the waist and hips. The muscles there can become weak and tight.
- Nerves can also cause more serious problems.
- MononeuropathyA nerve is suddenly damaged. Severe pain occurs along the site of nerve conduction. For example, if the optic nerve is affected, various problems can occur. This can lead to double vision. Besides, some other problems may arise.If diabetes is kept under control, this problem does not go deeper. Or should consult a neurologist.
