According to media reports, a case of bird flu was detected in a regional poultry farm in Hotyar (Bird Flu in Jharkhand) state. 4,000 chickens were culled soon after infection was confirmed. At the same time more than 100 eggs were destroyed. In case of bird flu or avian flu virus infection, animal carcasses and waste must be disposed of according to a special procedure. These chickens and eggs will be moved in accordance with that standard operating procedure.
In addition to the ban on sales, monitoring will continue
A special ban has been imposed for a one kilometer area around the government-run poultry farm (Bird Flu). Chicken meat, poultry or chicken eggs cannot be sold in that area. At the same time, a surveillance zone or monitoring area has been established over an area of ten kilometers.
House to house observation
Government officials have been instructed to conduct house-to-house monitoring on this day. Citizens are asked to provide necessary assistance due to critical situation. If you have eggs, chickens at home, you have been asked to give information about them. The state notification also requested them to be handed over to officials for destruction.
Is it safe to eat eggs and meat if there is bird flu?
