Finally, the child returned home with the help of the administration of South Salmara Mankachar district of Assam. Three years ago, the child entered India after crossing the border in Mankachar area. After that he was arrested and kept at the Boko Child Protection Cell in Assam.

Mankachar police arrested the child after entering India in 2021. After that the police station filed a case with case number 892/2021. He was later placed under the supervision of Assam’s Boko Child Protection Cell. After that the child was returned with the help of Legal Service Authority of South Salmara Manikchar District.

On Friday, the child was handed over to the Border Guard of Bangladesh (BGB) with the help of Assam Police and Meghalaya Police. The family is happy to have the child back after three years of legal complications. They expressed gratitude to the Police, Legal Services Authority and BSF.
