Kolkata: Both hands were lost in a train accident. Life has changed since then. But those two hands were regained by a painter. A brain-dead woman’s hand was used. Those hands are crossed from the person’s elbows. Finally, the person regained his normal hand. Recently this successful surgery was done at Gangaram Hospital in Delhi. A group of doctors are claiming that this is the first time in Delhi.
How did the hand join? The 45-year-old man was involved in a train accident four years ago. His two sevens were dropped due to the accident. The person was financially disadvantaged. You have to spend your whole life without two hands. Maybe that’s what he thought. But at the end of four years, an unexpected opportunity for treatment came. The man regained both hands. Meena Mehta, the administrative head of a school in south Delhi, was admitted to the hospital. He was brain dead. After he died, he donated his organs to others. And because of that Rang Mistry got his hand back.

But It was not easy to do anything. A large team of doctors perform this surgery. All in all, it takes 12 hours to do that surgery. Veins and arteries from each nerve had to be carefully ligated. Along with these, muscles and tendons are also attached. The hand of the donor is placed slightly above the elbow of the colorist. Success came after a long 12-hour operation. All the doctors also took a picture with the patient after the surgery.
