In this situation, MDP leader Abdullah Shahid said, “Maldives’ diplomatic position has been greatly damaged due to the previous decisions, false statements and irresponsible actions of the Muijju government.” Incidentally, Muijju said in an official function on Saturday, “India has always been a very close friend of Maldives. And very important companions. They have extended their helping hand whenever Maldives is in need.” Muijju is also heard to strengthen the relationship between the two countries. As a result, the international community is looking at how deep the India-Maldives friendship is by repairing the wounds in the future.
