India’s success at the beginning of the Olympics! Indian women’s team in archery

Paris: Indian archers achieved success at the beginning of the Paris Olympics. India got their first win in women’s archery team. The Indian women’s archery team reached the quarter-finals of the competition with a strong performance. Deepika Kumari, Ankika Bhakat, Bhajan Kaurra performed as expected.

Thursday was the preliminaries of the women’s individual and team events at the Paris Olympics. This time the Indian archery team is one of the contenders to win the medal. His glimpse was seen on the first day. Ankita Bhagat scored the highest 666 points among the Indian team on this day. Besides, Bhajan Kaur scored 659 and Deepika Kumari scored 658 points. The Indian team scored a total of 1983 points.

The Indian women’s archery team narrowly qualified for the quarter-finals but narrowly missed out on the top three in the first round. South Korea finished first by scoring 2046 points, China finished second by scoring 1996 points and Mexico came third with 1986 points. The Indian women’s team missed out on third place by just 3 points.

Indian women archers did not fare too well in the individual category despite reaching the quarter finals in the team category. Ankita Bhagat scored 666, Bhajan Kaur 659 and Deepika Kumari scored 658 points to finish 11th, 22nd and 23rd respectively. India’s opponents in the quarter-finals in the team category could be France or the Netherlands.
