New Delhi: The country’s airline Go First has canceled all flights for three consecutive days from Wednesday. The airline has informed about the matter, due to severe financial crisis, they are forced to stop the flight service for a total of three days. The agency has reported this problem to the Director General of Civil Operations.
The Mumbai-based low-fare carrier has also stopped selling tickets for flights for the next several days. Kaushik Khona said, “Currently the company has 28 aircraft. However, more than half of the aircraft are rendered useless due to engine problems. The main reason is that the company that was responsible for supplying engines to Go Air has stopped sending engines for quite some time. As a result, this decision has been taken in the interest of passengers and the company.”
For some time now, some financial experts have been claiming that the airline may close down due to financial crisis. Although the company authorities said at the time, they have no plans to exit the flying business. Go Air will make every effort to continue the business. Many passengers are in trouble due to the sudden decision to stop the flight. DGCA has given a show cause to the organization due to Go AJ’s decision. Due to which the airline may face large-scale punitive action.
