BANGLADESH POLITICAL CRISIS : On the last day i.e. 5th August (Monday), a big earthquake was seen in the politics of Bangladesh. Former Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina was asked to leave the country within just 45 minutes. After student movement, fierce violence and arson, former PM of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina has resigned and has come to India. According to media reports, the Bangladesh Army suddenly gave her this order without any information, due to which she could not take anything with her. There has been a coup in Bangladesh. In such a situation, the BSF has intensified surveillance on the India-Bangladesh border. According to the information, the Foreign Minister can talk about the political instability created in Bangladesh in Parliament today.
Bangladesh issue will resonate in Parliament, High alert issued on India-Bangladesh border
After the coup in Bangladesh, BSF has issued a high alert on the India-Bangladesh border. Bangladesh Army Chief General Wakar-uz-Zaman has informed that an interim government will take charge in the country. Along with this, the organizers of the student movement in Bangladesh have proposed to make Nobel Prize winner Muhammad Yunus the chief advisor of the interim government. According to media reports, the Indian Foreign Minister may raise the Bangladesh issue in Parliament at 2.30 pm today.
Protesters broke the effigy of the former president
Let us tell you that Hasina is the daughter of Bangladesh’s first President Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, she has been the longest serving Prime Minister in the history of Bangladesh. After Hasina’s resignation, the protesters also broke a several feet long effigy of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who is called the father of the nation of Bangladesh.
The army did not allow Sheikh Hasina to address the gathering
Before this action of the army, Sheikh Hasina had expressed her desire to address the nation through a video message. However, the army did not allow this message to be broadcast. Sheikh Hasina had compiled her thoughts in the form of a letter, but she was not even allowed to make it public.
After being ordered to step down by the Bangladesh Army, Sheikh Hasina was forced to leave the country immediately. Her family members were already living abroad, as the political situation in Bangladesh was rapidly deteriorating, with violent protests demanding her resignation for several days.
Foreign Minister S Jaishankar by all party meeting called
It would not be wrong to say that this situation reflects the political instability in Bangladesh and the influence of the army in the country. Which proved to be a big setback for the politics of Awami League led by Sheikh Hasina. Along with this, various political reactions have started coming in India regarding the current situation in the neighboring country. Due to which an all-party meeting was called by Foreign Minister S Jaishankar in India today i.e. on August 6 at 10 am.
