Dhaka: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned on Monday as the anti-conservation movement intensified in Bangladesh. He left the country for security. An interim government is taking over after the fall of the government. In this situation, the top ranks of the Bangladesh Army were also reshuffled on Tuesday.

Major General Ziaul Ahsan, who is close to Hasina, has been relieved from service. Lieutenant General Md. Saiful Alam’s job has been sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Lieutenant General Mohammad Mojibur Rahman has been promoted to the post of GOC Army Training and Doctrine Command. Lt. Gen. Ahmad Tabrez Shams Chowdhury has been made the quartermaster of the army. Army Chief of General Staff is General Lieutenant General Mizanur Rahman Shamim. Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque has been promoted to the post of Commandant NDC Major General. Asam Ridwanur Rahman has been appointed as Director General of NTMC.
The Indian government held an all-party meeting on Tuesday morning regarding the situation in Bangladesh. Foreign Minister, Home Minister along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi were present in this meeting. There were MPs including Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge. According to sources, it has been informed in today’s all-party meeting that India is keeping a close eye on the situation in Bangladesh.
After the all-party meeting, it was informed that there are currently about 2,000 Indians there. But the Government of India is of the view that there is no such situation at present to bring back the Indians. Incidentally, the government has informed the representatives of all political parties that 8000 Indian students have already returned from Bangladesh. Even now, no decision has been taken by the government about Sheikh Hasina — this was informed by the center in the all-party meeting.
