In women’s table tennis, Monica Batra advanced to the next round after defeating British competitor Anna Hershey 4-1. Monika was playing with power from the beginning. Monica won the first 3 sets straight, lost in the fourth set but turned around in the fifth set to win the match.

Two-time Olympic medalist shuttler PV Sindhu started her journey to Paris with a 2-0 win over Fatima Rezzak in the women’s badminton singles. HS Prannoy started with a win in Men’s Badminton as well. Prannoy defeated German shuttler Fabian Roth in straight sets. In Badminton, India is dreaming of a medal with Sindhu and Pranay holding hands. Along with that, Arjun Babuta reached the final of men’s 10m air rifle category. Besides, Romita Jindal reached the final of women’s 10m air rifle. Both shooters will aim to win medals in the final.
