Calcutta: Temperatures continue to rise across the country. Now those who have fans or coolers in their homes, even those who have ACs in their homes are not able to cool them down.
Most parts of India are experiencing extreme heat and many people are complaining that their AC is not working properly.
Many people are also worried about their air conditioner heating up too quickly and the compressor not being able to work. Whether it is a split AC or a window AC, cool air will not come until the compressor is turned on.

Talking to Salim, a local AC technician in Delhi, it is known that this is happening due to extreme heat. After the temperature exceeds 45 degrees, the AC has to work hard to cool down and as a result it heats up quickly. Due to which it trips repeatedly and cannot start the compressor.
No one can live without AC in this heat, but the technician said that while AC is running it should be switched off for 7 to 9 minutes at times.
Failure to do so may result in fire. Because the compressor also heats up quickly in summer and if it is left running for a long time without being turned off, the risk of fire due to overheating increases.
For those who have a split AC and direct sunlight falls on the outdoor unit, the compressor cannot cool. So what needs to be done for this is that the outdoor unit should also be placed in a shed. It is said that doing this reduces the effect of the AC compressor by 5-6 degrees.

The technician also said that if the AC shuts off repeatedly due to heat, the easiest thing to do is to pour a mug or two of water behind the AC. If you have a window AC, water can be poured into the rear coil. Otherwise, if the room has a split AC and its outdoor unit is on the balcony, water can be poured into the coil behind its fan.
